Michael Jackson's Former Business Manager Tohme Tohme Must Testify in Dr. Conrad Murray's Involuntary Manslaughter Case, Judge Rules
- CNN Justice
Recently, a Los Angeles judge ruled that Tohme Tohme, who was Michael Jackson's business manager at the time of the singer's death, must testify in the case of Dr. Conrad Murray. Murray has been charged with involuntary manslaughter. Paul Takakjian of Takakjian & Sitkoff LLP is Tohme's lawyer and he stated that the doctor's defense is "tossing out a fishing line" without really knowing whether Tohme knows anything of value that would strengthen their case. There is also some question as to whether the subpoena was properly served to Tohme. A process server has testified she handed the papers to Tohme at his home while another witness has said Tohme was at a car auction at the alleged time. The judge ruled in the defense's favor but has stated he may restrict what will be allowed to be asked of Tohme when the trial begins...
